BATCH #16 - THE HARRY POTTER KITTENS

I knew I would have a batch of kittens that would be named after the Harry Potter characters sooner rather than later because: (1) I have a (more than obsessed) Harry Potter friend that was always asking me to name my next batch of 3 kittens after the lead characters in the Harry Potter franchise; and (2) it was only a matter of time that 3 kittens would come into my care, so why not?

Let me introduce you to the wizards of the kitten world:

Harry Potter

Hermione Granger (aka Hermie)

Ron Weasley

Harry and Ron are both a full pound heavier than little Hermione.  The boys weigh in at 3.5 lbs each, while little Hermione sits at 2.5 lbs.  I've been sneaking her chicken in the hopes that she puts on some weight.  Whatever she doesn't eat is quickly gobbled up by the two boys.

Hermione is a sweet, little girl.  Very quiet, laid back and easy going.  She doesn't make much noise at all.  I almost never hear her meow and you have to put your ear next to her chest to actually hear her purr.  The two boys, on the other hand, sound like jack hammers when they start purring in unison.  And boy do they talk!  They are little chatter boxes.  You can carry on a very meaningful conversation with the two of them (especially after their afternoon naps).

When you look at their individual faces, you will notice that Harry has half of his whiskers on his left side sheered off.  I wonder what happened to them?

Ron has the sleek face of a Siamese kitty.

Hermione has the cutest, itty, bitty face that I've ever seen on a kitten.  She's really adorable.

I was laying down on the couch with Hermione last night watching a special on National Geographic on Big Cats and she was totally enraptured with the special.  She truly was watching TV with me.  She's definitely a lap cat.

The kittens were vaccinated today and I've already given them their first dose of deworming medication, with their second dose to be given on May 5th.  I'm hoping that they'll all get adopted soon!
