BATCH #21 HAS ARRIVED

To mildly put it, 2020 has been an insane year.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of our daily lives. Businesses are going under left, right and center. We are changing the way we interact with friends, family, colleagues and complete strangers. I'm sure a lot of you have found it difficult to adjust to our new way of life, but as Dr. Bonnie Henry keeps reiterating, "This is not forever". So, BE KIND - BE CALM - BE SAFE.

I have waited 8 months to receive my latest batch (#21). My last batch was back in November 2019. Oh my how life has changed.

I went to pick up Mommy cat (Princess) and her 3-day old (!!!) kittens from VOKRA's Operations Centre this afternoon. I wore my mask, rung the bell (as we are not allowed into Operations any longer) and waited outside on the loading dock to be handed my next batch. 3-day old kittens are the youngest I have ever fostered.

Princess is pretty much a kitten herself, being only a little over a year old. She's a sweet, friendly kitten that was already coming up to my hand for pets after I got her settled in. She's a tuxedo cat, along with one of her 6 kittens. The other 5 kittens have tabby markings in different shades.

Watch how fast they grow!
